i don’t know how much they charge per inquiry in NZ.. i suggest you call their hotline.. here is the link.

I did apply for BDO internet banking while I’m here in Kuwait – so my answer is “yes, you can”..

Call / email them at the contact link i gave above.
tell them that you are in NZ and want to apply for Internet Banking.
they will then ask you to send 3 signatures to the BDO branch where you open your account (3 original signatures is mandatory)
Wait for atleast one month.. for me they activated my account after 2 months.

Another idea is to go to the BDO remittance agency near you, open an account and ask them to activate internet banking or atleast help you to activate internet banking.(not sure though if this one will work but i just thought if they can open account for us maybe then can also help activate internet banking)

if he urgently need it..you may try sending via Western Union. . check the remiitance agent near you and look for Western Union Logo.. its fast but expensive

you can also try sending him money via direct deposit thru the remittance agent.. usuaally it takes 1 day before the amount credited to the bank.

i hve an act to eq-pci,which now BDO,before i left hongkong,the staff there changed my passbook to BDO,but my atm is still the eqpci since they said i should change it personally in Manila,but unfortunately i was not able to do that because i came here to Canada soon after..here’s my questions:
“if i do deposits from here to my account,and send my passbook to my sister in the Philippines,will the branches updates my passbook if she shows them my deposits slip receipts??”,
one more thing,when i opened my acct in hongkong,they put the head office branch instead the branches in my place,that is evrythime i ask my sister to deposits money to my acct they charge her for transfer deposits which cost PP/50.00.

My son Michael John Landrito sent me CASH from BDO Kuwait.. on October 11, 2009 … He informed me to pick up the CASH at any BDO branches in the PHilippines…According to the teller the supposed CASH was sent thru “door to door” delivery and no address of the beneficiary was stated.. instead of “PICK UP” I informed my son about this matter and he said,, ammendments already done…Please do something about this matter.. needed the CASH veru badly

Dear BDO La Trinidad Branch,

I work homebased and my employers are in Korea. I decided to apply a cash card to be used in remitting my salary. I courteously approached one of your staff and asked her about the requirements in applying a cash card. She told me the requirements and ask me to fill-up the Cash Card Application form. So after writing the necessary information, I gave it back to her with smile.

She then read the information I wrote and began talking mockingly.
First, she told me to write down my complete maiden name telling “Maiden name ang nakasulat dito, di naman middle initial.” I felt so embarrassed on the way to told that to me.
Second, In the Source of Fund box; I checked the BDO box because from what I understand the cash card Im applying for belongs to BDO. So this is what she told me. “Me account ba kau dito sa BDO?” and I answered no. She then said, “Ba’t mo chenek eto showing me the paper.” Again my cheeks went red for the embarrassment.
Lastly, I take a deep breath and I asked her politely if I could have the account number that day and you know what she said? ” After two weeks mo makukuha kasi, CASH CARD LANG naman inaplayan mo e.” I felt rage but I controlled myself. I said ok and thank her.

I have been a client to other banks and I felt the big difference this staff at BDO La Trinidad treated mo that day. I wasn’t able to sleep that thinking “Did I say something wrong to that lady?” How can she insult and embarrass me like that? I felt I was the most stupid person in the world with her sarcastic words. She should have correct my mistakes in a polite way. I told myself I will never ever go back to any BDO anymore.
Where is the quality customer service this bank has to offer? I want this girl to learn her lesson…

How should I have the remitance slip and the reference number found in it when in fact I am the one to receive the possible remitance coming from my OFW hubby…and his agency here in the Philippines would not be sending us the notice whether the remitance of my hubby is already deposited or not……so, that is why I just wanted to have an access to that account so I would know easily if the said remitance is already deposited or not……to stay away from the hassles of instead inquiring it to the ATM Machine….and to minimize the frequency of going to the possible ATM outlet just to inquire when the money is there or not yet. How could I secure the subsidiary remittance-tie up reference number when the agency of my OFW hubby would not be sending us the allotment noticed slip on time or could not send us the notice ontime whether the allotment is already deposited or not. I want to know what happen to the money that send to the closed account.coz someone sent me money from korea last march 08 2010 but i never expect my acct.has been closed.bdo staff said that the sender must wait a notice from the bank to inform that the acct.has closed.but it almost a week from the day he sent,still he did not receive any notice from bdo.

how long do he need to wait for the notice?

Hello. I just want to ask po, my sister is leaving for abroad and she will open a bank account para sa remittance namin. She’s choosing BDO po, but later on realized that she have an unpaid credit card usage with the bank, does the bank have the right to just take the money out from her account once they found out that she have been indebted from them? She plans on paying BDO after landing a decent job abroad but she wants to do it after she’s paid all her commitments with the people who helped her with the expenses of landing the job abroad. Do they have the right to just take her money?she’s planning of opening a remittance peso account and a saving account for her savings. please let us know our rights. thanks.

Hi,Last May when I take my vacation in the Philippines ,I change my OLD REMITTANCE to a new card in Banco De Oro,Sanagandaan ,Caloocan Branch.Last 2 days ( July 5, 2010 ) I sent a money here in Saudi Arabia and i was suprised the this afternoon she called up that she can not use my ATM remittance card for what she is saying that my pin code is problem,also appearing in the machine is exceed,,,what is this meaning ,Hope your response immediately cause that money will pay to my house monthly dues and in any delay I need to pay penalty for 12 percent.If my pin code is the problem do I give the authority of my sister in law to change.

someone send me money from riyadh lst july 03 2010, i never expected that my account was being closed because of mishandling,i just notice it wen i balance my atm! bdo at sm sta rosa laguna suggested to my remiter to make request of amendment!he went back to the bank in riyadh to transfer that money in pick up in bdo bank!he make that transaction last july 8 2010,the bank in riyadh told that i can get the money after 2 days!then i went bck to bdo at sm sta rosa but still no transaction found at the payment order no.that was given to me by my remiter,may i know how long does it take to get my remittance???kindly e mail me asap at my email add.thank you
