Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas OFW web portal

A portal with the Web address — www.bsp.gov.ph/about/advocacies_ofw.asp — is just one of the initiatives of the Philippine central bank in its efforts to continue improving the environment for OFW remittances.

The interactive portal facilitates access to websites of major commercial banks providing remittance services to Filipinos located in different parts of the world.

Included in the portal are lists of web pages of major commercial banks are its locations or branches abroad, remittance centers, foreign bank/correspondents, products and services, and charges/fees for remittance services to any part of the Philippines.

A host country can be selected to display the Philippine banks with remittance networks located abroad. OFWs can click their desired bank and the portal will link them to the bank’s webpage.

With the portal, transparency of bank remittance services and products are expected to be enhanced. It will also allow target users - OFWs and their beneficiaries - to compare and choose the most competitively-priced and efficient remittance service provider available in their host country and in the Philippines.

The portal also includes a history of the BSP, its vision and mission, the BSP Charter, Overview of Functions and Operations, organization of the bank, governance of the Bank, audited financial statements, advocacies, facilities, recruitment and BEST (BSP Educational Scholarship and Training Program).
