Document Scanning Productivity Tip: Use Duplex Scanner

Scanshell 3000DN, a high speed duplex scanner that captures high image quality of both sides of the scanned document. The interface uses the high speed USB 2.0 (Universal Serial Bus) and doesn’t require external power supply. In terms light-weight and portability, this piece of technology pass the criteria as its weight 1.3 pounds (more or less 0.59 kg) and as I’ve said it doesn’t need external power supply which means less cord / ac plugs in you office..

What interests me in this product is its ability to scan both side of the document simultaneously. Back in Philippines when I was working as a Product Development Engineer, one of my main responsibilities is to offer alternative materials in the new item. This is to give our customer the best price while conserving the quality of the item. We can’t just suggest material; it needs specification comparison, quotations, testing approvals and other supporting documents resulting to more than 30 pieces papers with back to back printed data. These data will then needs to be scanned so that we have a file both hard and soft copy. Imagine how many hours we consumed scanning those specifications in one material alone multiply it by number materials we are dealing with. It is really a dreary task.

This device can save half of the time you spent compare to the time required using normal scanner machine. This is a sure “Kaizen” for those people that values time very much.
