Goodbye Summer, Welcome Winter

From the heat to as high as 57 deg celcius, now the outside temperature here in Kuwait is getting lower and lower. When you go out, you can see the people on the street wearing leather jacket or sweater to warm their body. Well the cold temperature in Kuwait is nothing compare to the climate now in Canada and Northern America. However, the effect of too much cold in us don’t differ to in when you are in other side of the world.

It’s important to warm your body when you feel chilled. Our normal body temperature can drop when you are exposed too long in cold wind. When our normal body temperature decreases, our resistance to germs will become lower too making us more susceptible to viral diseases such us cough, cold and flu.

So it is necessary to wear thick clothes for our protection. But warming is not about heating your body only, your room needs temperature adjustment too. And to accomplish this we are installing different heating or ventilating equipment to satisfy the normal temperature of our room like aircon, heater and ceiling fans.

Ceiling fans are commonly use in summer, but do you know that you can try using the ceiling fan also when the weather is cold. The reverse switch on them will push down the warmer air that collects at the ceiling to help you stay warm. By setting the fan in reverse mode so the warm air that rises to the ceiling is blown downward giving additional heat to warm yourself. Most of the fan manufactured by modern fan company has the reverse setting so you can find it ordinary nowadays. Unless you are using the antique fan invented many decades ago..
