How I Renew my Dependent’s Civil ID
After completing the Kuwait residency stamping process, the next step is civil id card renewal. The civil identity (ID) card also known as "bitaqa-almadaniya" is being handled by the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI). The card contains the holder’s civil number, full name, date of birth, local address, blood group, sponsor’s name, type of visa and date of expiry of the card. This card is very important so it must be carried at all times and that it must always be renewed on time.
Renewal of Civil ID in Kuwait is much easier now than before. I’ve done it in a couple of minutes using renewal via internet of the Smart System for ID-Card Renewal, an e-government project that promotes smooth and paperless Civil Identification Service in the State of Kuwait.. You will no longer need to submit requirements such us envelope, Application for Renewal ,Sponsor’s Declaration, Passport Copy, Residence Permit Copy, Photos, and Other Documents to designated PACI office. With the new ID renewal system, you may renew the Civil ID by calling from Home, Office, Mobile or even outside the State of Kuwait. Just follow the steps given below: Note: This service available This service doesn’t cover: Another method is by renewing it directly on the PACI webpage, this is the method I used which took me around around 2 minutes to complete. Here is what you have to do: Now wait until the civil ID is ready. The readiness status can be checked at PACI Civil ID Status or by calling 88 99 88. Once the civil id is ready, you can pick it up at the PACI office designated to your area of residency. You will have to pay 2 KD each card for the renewal charge.
