More jobs for Filipinos in New Zealand

The number of Filipino entering New Zealand continously intensifies as a result of its growing economy. More and more job openings are emerging, this is a good opportunity for pinoys who are seeking employment abroad.

It was reported that New Zealand’s healthcare, hotel and telecommunications industries and academic institutions are in need of foreign professional workers, offering salaries comparable to western countries.

According to Emmanuel S. Geslani, a consultant for several licensed agencies, the New Zealand needs registered nurses, physical therapists, pharmacist, medical technologists, radiologist and/or X-ray technician, hospital attendants, dieticians and general cleaners. Jobs available in hotels include room boys, customer service representatives, waiters, waitresses, bell boys, housekeeping attendant, telephone operators and a hotel manager. Likewise, the country’s Information Technology industry is in need of IT specialists, programmers, software engineer, general laborers and technicians.

New Zealand also offers job positions for principals, registrars, office clerks, teachers (English, Math and Science) and Lecturers in certain courses for colleges and universities. It also needs construction workers like foreman, architects, civil engineers, electrical engineer, carpenters, plumbers and general workers.

Moreover, Canada, Spain, and Caribbean are the new labor markets that have opened their doors to foreign workers. Recruitment agencies are intensifying overseas marketing programs as they continue to look for new job opportunities abroad for our Filipino contract workers.

Hi Monette, it’s great that you have done a Caregiver course as there are lots of roles in New Zealand for people qualified in this area, especially if you are willing to work weekends and nights. New Zealand employers can be quite selective when reviewing CV’s so to give yourself the best chance possible, you may like to visit http://www.nzcvs.yolasite.com and have your CV reviewed for free to see if it needs updating to appeal to New Zealand employers. There are also some great tips for interviewing and links to some excellent sites about moving to New Zealand. I wish you all the best in your job search. Diane
