Need Help? Push the Button!

In my old post I blogged about a technology where you can use you eyes to interact with the computer. With just a wink, user can execute a command to the PC which is connected to the emergency system to ask for help. Today, we have a similar technology, unlike the previous one which is basically invented for bed ridden person, The Direct Alert is a system that you can use in your daily life. When you need help all you’ve got to do is press the button.

The Direct Alert is a wireless two-way home Emergency Response System consist of two main modules.

The first is the control panel which has a two-way voice speakerphone use to keep in touch with the Emergency Response Center within specific range. The programmable panel is also capable of storing medical reminders that could be played according to the time/schedule you set a very useful add-on application.

The second is the water resistant help button in which the main function is to send a signal through the panel in case help is needed. The button can effectively communicate to the main unit within 150 feet range. It can be worn as a medical alert bracelet, a necklace or as a pin. Interestingly, since the button has a built in microphone this could also be used to answer the phone.

Ideally this brilliant piece of invention is perfect for anyone who needs help. For seniors who are alone at times, people with medical conditions or people who have difficulty in walking or may be in danger of falling. By owning this technology, you don’t have to worry for your loved ones that needs help because you know you can always be in touch with them. In case they need help, you are just a button away. This will definitely improve the response time for emergency situation. One good thing to note is the stand-by Direct Alert Response System that can assist you 24/7 - like your personal 911 call service.
