Paypal Authorization Failed: This payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time
So you have decided to do an online transaction. Everything is set, you and the second party agreed to use paypal as the payment mode. You then log-in to your paypal account. Then, you were prompted with the popular 5 seconds paypal redirection. Because you can’t wait for the 5 seconds redirecting time, you unhesitatingly click the link so you can access your paypal account due to the urgency of the the payment transaction.
Now, you have with you the paypal address of the second party and of course the agreed amount. When you finished encoding the data needed and hit the “continue” you will just be welcomed with this paypal authorization failed: “This payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time”

What will you do then when you encounter the paypal authorization failed error popup? Of course, you are going to try again,.again.. and again.. and with every try this paypal error page is always welcoming you wholeheartedly. “This payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time“. The same error message over and over again.
After some time you then decided to send ticket to paypal support. You wait, maybe this is just a glinch, you wait again. but no support was provided for the supposedly “quick action” “quick response” technical support team.
Now, this is the time for self-medication. YOu fire up your favorite search engine, the big google.com is a perfect example for this one, you’ll then realize that popular message This payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time has been there all along years back. So, you are not alone after all..
Going back to the quickie research you did, you discover some hints for the error. This are only assumptions:
- You hit the amount limit of the card
- The system flagged the card for some reason
- The number of uses is too close in time that triggered the system to flag the account
The article didn’t conviced you so you again, research one more time. This time you type the whole error message: “Payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time” , (don’t forget the quotation mark). On the front page, you click the the link that interests you. After scanning the message.. voila.. here it is the reason for the error.
So, it is indeed confirmed. The error was encountered because of the internal security systems huh.. Seems that paypal system is refusing the transaction. ^sigh^
What will you do now? One possible answer! do the transaction in the traditional way. Money transfer – direct deposit, until the genius paypal team figure it out.
In the end you realize this is the only way, for now.
Some folks out there might be experiencing this bugging paypal problem as well, maybe they have a neat and sweet workaround. Hope they read this post and comment here so we can deal with it.

I am from Brazil , And I am having this problem , I made a payment and in 3 minutes I tryed to make an other payment and I had this surprise.
So I sent an email to paypal , and I will wait it

Apparently stupid paypal will refuse transactions if you don’t wait a few days before doing another transaction.
I have had the same problem many times. i just found out why. Mozilla firefox. i always use mozilla. payment wouldnt process. tried Internet Explorer. no problem.

Im having the same problem, I have used paypal for 2 years without problems, but i decided to open an account to my girlfriend and her simple do not work to send money, only for 49.99 and under that value… The most incredible is that it works just fine to pay for ebay items!
I just don’t know what to do to have it working like it should be.
