I recently graduated from BSN this year in one of the schools in Davao City. I am planning to take the exam this coming November. However, our school is having a problem in one of the lying ins where we got our DR cases. Our cases was discredited by the school because they found out that we students only bought the cases without even really handling the procedure itself. This is very unfair to us. Since, we didnt really mean to cheat but it was the lying-in\’s ways that we only followed without knowing that it is not really allowed. The lying-in I was talking about is the Bajada Domicilliary. The C.I. who was supposed to sign our papers complained about this issue. The school took action against the said lying-in to the expense of the number of students who spent thousands of money for the cases that was now discredited and we are forced to have our duties again in the D.R.. But my complaint is that if they were able to discredit our cause because of the reason that we acquired it without even performing it, then to fair to everybody, other lying-ins must also be investigated. I personally know that most of the lying-ins in Davao City are like the Bajada Domiciliary who only accepts money from students and only gave data to them for their cases without even having the student have the actual performance of the DR procedure. This is very equivalent to fraud and falsification of public documents. It is not only happening in our school but to other schools as well. I hope that the PRC as an authority as well as the board of nursing would look up to this issue.
I understand the importance of your comment, and I suggest you relay this info directly to PRC or to CHED or to the board of nursing.
You are right. It is FRAUD. Your school will be lucky if you can take the Board Exams. DR/OR completion cases are required before graduation. NO Completion-No Graduation!
When we were in College, we had to sacrifice reviewing for the Finals on the night before the exam because we had to go on delivery completion. Even if we didnt make good grades on the finals, at least we were able to complete our DR cases.
Just for cheating, some Nursing schools in Iloilo City would actually expel the students even when they are in their 4th year. You are saying that this is unfair to you, because unknowingly, you cheated???? Didn’t it ring a bell when they asked for payment in exchange for a case number? Think of what other nursing students had to go through just to complete these requirement. Wouln’t it be unfair to them if you guys would just cheat your way to graduation?
This is why we Filipino nurses excel here in America. We work hard and we are honest with our work. But I still see a couple of Filipino nurses who are just dumb as hell and, yes, these are the ones who didnt have enough clinical experience while they are still in school.

the recent nle was challenging, but nothing will ever beat the feeling of waiting for the results to come out!
pero kaya yan, with a little effort and a lot of prayers.
study funda, LMR, nrsg informatics and ms, especially the perioperative chapters. i remember dami rin lumabas under emergency nursing. most were topics that werent very popular in school and since ngayon pa lang lumabas yung about nursing informatics, my answers were mostly by gut feel na lang. thank God, konti ang solving, pharma and isa lang ang lumabas abt ecg this time. but study mo pa rin, kasi no one can tell you the trend. depende na lahat sa authors na BON.
