Reserve Petroleum Nederland BV Employment Scam

Again, I would like to take part in reminding our kababayan’s to please be extra cautious in dealing with messages sent by unknown individual via any form of communication, i.e internet/e-mail, text, phone, mail. etc.. and check the legality of the existence of entities before entering into any transaction.

This OFW alert brought by the employment scam wherein a bogus company - Reserve Petroleum Nederland BV reportedly conducting a swindling operations victimizing overseas Filipino workers.

The modus operandi are as follows:

  • Unsuspecting Filipino receive a letter sent by e-mail saying that Reserve Petroleum Nederland BV had obtained and assessed their curriculum vitae and have assured them of qualified employment in the Netherlands.  To make it credible, they will attached a "soft copy of official letter of appointment."
  • The so-called official letter would mention the scope of work that is expected, as well as attractive salaries, fringe beneits, grnts, benefits and other supposed entitlements.
  • the latter would go on and direct the recipient to pay an amount to cover the fees of seeking a visa, or work/residnece permit.  Supposedly this amount is required by the Minstry of Interior of the Netherlands.
  • Once the recipient give in and pays the "fees," he is then advised to pay "additional fees" to cover te cost of registering documents.

So, if you know somebody transacting a business with this fictitious company please advise them to cease the contact immediately as this company will surely screw them.
