The idea of Sir Elton John about shutting down the internet for five year was posted at thesun.co.uk . He also points out how the internet is affecting the beauty and art of music. With the boom of internet that reach billions of people worldwide every minute, we can’t hide the fact that we are now staying more inhouse compare to our lifestyle 20 years ago. More and more people are joining the army of bloggers thus resulting to less time for the people going out and personally interact with friends and other human being with music as background e.g. concert, hotel, resto and bars or protest about the something or someone which is normal for bloggers.

“The Pen is Mightier than Sword” - and that written word is more powerful than any physical weapon. Internet is a big tool to make that Pen Mightier now than before - thru blogging we can now freely voice out our rants, protest and ideology.

To me two world is already existing. CYBERWORLD and the PHYSICAL WORLD.. we can’t just neglect either one of them.. live on both aspect is I think a better choice :).

He claims it is destroying good music, saying: “The internet has stopped people from going out and being with each other, creating stuff.

“Instead they sit at home and make their own records, which is sometimes OK but it doesn’t bode well for long-term artistic vision.

“We’re talking about things that are going to change the world and change the way people listen to music and that’s not going to happen with people blogging on the internet.

“I mean, get out there — communicate.

Hopefully the next movement in music will tear down the internet

“Let’s get out in the streets and march and protest instead of sitting at home and blogging.

“I do think it would be an incredible experiment to shut down the whole internet for five years and see what sort of art is produced over that span.
