Solar Powered iPhone 3G- Solar Powered iPod
On April 24, 2008, Apple filed a patent for Solar Cells on Portable Devices like the 3G iPhone and iPod. The idea on the Solar Powered iPhone 3G or Solar Powered iPod is that solar cell would be placed on layers beneath touch screen.

The concept could extend the battery life of device (3G iPhone and iPod) and could allow the iPhone or iPod to become wireless because you don’t need a power cord anymore to charge your iPhone 3G or iPod.
It appears that solar powered charging in portable devices is starting to getting more interesting. Consumers are also becoming interested. Let’s wait and see what will happen to the Solar Powered 3G iPhone or Solar Powered iPod concept.

I think there are many solar products for charging your cell phone, lap top, etc. If more people would follow this idea, we could all be better off, little by little.
