The Moment of Truth for Senate Bill 1315

An advisory circulated by National Executive Director Armando Heredia of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations reported that Senate Bill 1315 will be decided on the 22th of April. The moment of truth for the bill where outcome will entirely depends on the votes of the U.S. senators scheduled on April 22.

Senate Bill 1315 also known as the Veterans Benefits Enhancement Act will provide the following:

Aside from the above benefits, the bill will also provide minimum annual pension as stated:

There are 18,155 Filipino veterans will benefit on this bill and about two-thirds of whom are living in the Philippines. Thanks to Hawaii Senator Daniel K. Akaka for sponsoring the bill.

The important contributions of our brave and courageous Filipino World War II veterans who answered the call of then US President Franklin Roosevelt to join the war efforts deserves official recognition by US legislative.

Our gallant Pinoy veterans for WW2 still have one more fight to win left..
