Virtual Tour using Google Street View
I blogged before about google embedding a high resolution image in google map/google earth. This feature stirs privacy concern with users commenting how mr. big google is watching their private life very closely and making it public where billions of internet users can freely view it.
How about this new streetview?
Since the launch of latest google street view feature in google map on Where 2.0 conference last May 29, people around the blogosphere is talking immensely about it. I have ran across this feature accidentally while looking for something to blog about and landed with Mr. StreetViewer who demonstrate me quickly how to use and navigate on this new google streetview feature. I give it a try and i find my self playing with it in four hours!!see how i become non-productive!
With this feature you can virtually tour the city neighborhood, like you are walking in a street-level viewing and exploring selected cities such as San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, Miami, and Denver using the 360 image scenery shot by google van mount with camera which said to be using the technology of immersive media
Now what would you expect? PRIVACY! new york times had already reported bout it saying that google zooms too close for someones private life. There are really some images out there that could spark privacy issues like the boy caught taking a leak, coed tanning , the famous truck ad to a man pickin his nose while sitting on bench are some odd images…
Lets pause for a moment and think of it on the brighter side, tourism at the tip of your finger!!.. isn’t it amazing?..
I’m talking about good views and scenery not the one that I’ve mentioned above, The Golden Gate Bridge, the compeling pyramid in vegas and so on..

Some people are already compiling street view images. here are some site that you might try to visit if you want some sightings.. streetvr, news.com, and more here….
