What They Say 100 Years Ago?

Paleo-future has an interesting yet true post about prediction. This is about the article of John Elfreth Watkins, Jr. , author of many detective and mystery novels who wrote a piece for the December issue of Ladies Home Journal speculating about what the world will be in the next hundred years.

This is really a strange article which is about the compiled speculations of conservative minds of America and wise men of institutions of science and learning published January 1, 1901 Milwaukee Herold und Seebote newspaper issue.

Amazingly, most of the predictions mentioned in Watkins article 100 years ago are in reality nowaday. Below are the points how the generation 100 years ago see their future which is now our present..:)

• Ready cook meals will be bought
• Coal will not be used for heating or cooling
• Photographed will be telegraphed
• To England in 2 days
• Man will see around the world
• Telephone around the world
• More here

If this a coincidence or not, we are not sure but at the end the result is very surprising. This only give us a clue how the world will be 100 years from now. What we think impossible today will be possible in the future because of the rapid development through the help science , technology and human intellectual..
